The Boston Avid User Group (BAVUG) is a community of digital media professionals, students and enthusiasts from the New England area who acknowledge Avid's influential contributions to digital filmmaking and provides opportunities for attendees to remain on the cutting edge of this revolution.
BAVUG is committed to advancing professional growth in the field of digital editing. Guest speakers from the creative and technical communities share their expertise by showcasing new solutions, case studies and completed projects. All presentations include time for audience questions. The meetings also provide a networking opportunity for members and attendees.
BAVUG meetings are open to anyone with an interest in digital media, nonlinear editing, motion graphics, filmmaking or multimedia production. Meetings are free to attend, but we do request that you pre-register for any meeting that you plan to attend.
The Boston Avid User Group has been in existence since 2004. The group began holding regular meetings in February 2005 and aims to hold approximately 10 meetings or events each year. If you are on our mailing list, you will be notified of the meeting date, topics and location. If you aren't on our mailing list, subscribe at the top of the page!
